Sandpaper Sandcastles for Birthday Board

Spread the love

Hello! 🙂

Just a quick reminder, today is the first day of the HUGE TpT Back-to-School Sale, so head on over and fill up your cart with everything you’ll need for a fabulous year!

I want to share another cool project I finished this week for my tropical classroom. I’m not allowed in my room until next week, so I’m trying to get as much done at home as possible.

I saw this birthday board from {K-1 Teaching Besties} on Pinterest a couple months ago, and fell in love.

So, I decided to make my own, but instead of using construction paper, I decided to use sand paper.

First, I printed out a sand castle pattern, lined it up, and cut it out.

All cut out!

One down, 11 more to go! (Don’t you just love the texture!)

I decided to use two patterns so I could alternate with each month.

All 12 castles cut out!

I had to do this to get the doors to stick on. 🙂

Once the doors were attached, I went on to the next step.

Every castle needs a flag.

I laminated each flag.

Then I cut them out and was ready to attach them.

I taped each flag to the back of each castle.

Here are my finished castles!

I also got my bulletin board letters together.

I put everything into a hefty bag so when I go in to school, I can just staple it up! I think I’m going to take a picture of each student and then put their face on their birthday month.

And there you have it! That’s how you make a sand paper sand castle birthday board!

Have a great Sunday!
