Turmeric Lemonade is a refreshing and hydrating beverage perfect for the summer! Recipe is vegan and gluten-free.

Lemonade is my absolute favourite beverage. Lots of restaurants and store-bought lemonades are loaded with unnecessary processed sugars and it can be hard to find healthier lemonade.

Some farmers markets have better lemonades and you can normally opt for healthier sugars {stevia, no added sugar, etc.}. The other option is making homemade lemonade, which is actually SO easy.

Today I decided to put a twist on regular lemonade by adding a dash of turmeric to really crank up the health benefits of this lemonade. This Turmeric Lemonade recipe is packed with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties and is super refreshing for the summer!


Turmeric is a popular spice right now in the health/recipe community because it is contains so many health benefits.

It is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant. It can be purchased fresh in the root form or as a spice. You may recognize this ingredient in Asian foods, as it is the main ingredient in curry. It has been used in foods for many many years and also in medicine.

Curcumin gives turmeric that yellow colour and many health benefits because of its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

It helps with inflammation and has shown to help those with stomach pains, Crohn’s disease, heartburn, joint pain and so much more.

Turmeric has a bitter taste therefore I like to combine it with sweet ingredients. This turmeric lemonade is the perfect balance of bitter, sweet and fresh!

Refreshing Summer Turmeric Lemonade that is sweet and very hydrating! Turmeric is a spice that is a power house for antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties and so much more!



  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of pepper


  1. Add all ingredients to a large mason jar and stir until ingredients are combined. Enjoy right away.
